Our aim is to enjoy playing classical music in a relaxed atmosphere, without the pressure of performances. Just as some people meet in small groups to play chamber music, we meet to play orchestral music in an informal way. We have a professional leader and conductor, members come from all walks of life and are of varying musical standards. What we all have in common is a desire to enjoy music in a friendly environment and to improve our musicianship and ensemble playing.
New members of all standards are always welcome (particularly strings, percussion, lower brass, and horn). Please feel free to come and either listen, or take part, subscription for this Spring term is £55, (plus 20p each week for tea and biscuits!). There would be a significant discount for full time students.

Rehearsals take place from 7.30 pm until about 9.30 pm on Monday evenings at St Paul's Church, Culliford Crescent, Canford Heath during term time. We generally play through parts of two different works, with a tea break and a chat at around 8.45 pm!
